Exhibition Statement
Harmony and discord in my work address the horrors in American history within my work. In each of my works I try to build color harmonies in an effort to seduce the viewer into my concept. The concepts in my painting revise the exclusion of indigenous subjects in the history of American landscape painting. By including my culture in visions of my homeland my paintings resist the efforts of colonialism to melt difference.
