Exhibition Statement
My work reflects the ongoing argument between death and life, ugliness and beauty, power and aggression in contemporary society. Universal and culturally specific references allow me to create an illusion of a fantastic and superficial world. Dogs, horses, birds and other animals are placed in satiric situations that indirectly question human behavior. Both conceptually and technically my work explores the use of drawing in relation to different media such as painting, sculpture, photography, and installation.
